Our Story
Service, fellowship, and a hall of our own.
Forbes-McKay Post 109 has proudly served the Windsor, Colorado community as a cornerstone for veterans and their supporters. Named in honor of those who gave their service, our Post is dedicated to upholding the values of the American Legion — honor, loyalty, and community.
Under the LEGION Act of 2019, the American Legion welcomes honorably-discharged veterans of every era. Whether you served yesterday or fifty years ago, there's a seat at the bar and a chair at the table.
From volunteering to improve our facilities to hosting lively community events, Post 109 is more than a veterans' hall. It's a home away from home for Windsor and the surrounding area.

Scott Esch
Commander
Serves as Commander of Forbes-McKay Post 109, leading the Post's mission and membership.
John Deberard
Vice Commander
Serves as Vice Commander of Post 109, supporting the Commander and Post operations.
Mark Hately
Sergeant of Arms
Mark serves as Sergeant of Arms for Forbes-McKay Post 109, and has generously donated his time and materials to support the Post's facility improvements.
Brad Irion
Financial Officer
Serves as Financial Officer, managing the Post's finances and dues.
Stephanie Lucero
Bar Manager
Runs the bar at Post 109, keeping the lounge welcoming for members and guests.
Jeanne Esch
Events Manager
Coordinates Post events and community activities throughout the year.
